Portland Rain page has been added
I have added this page for the Portland Rain women's team. The Rain are a provisional team in the USL's W-1 league. For now, the page is simple, with a schedule and a roster. I will add pictures and more information within the next month. I hope all local Timbers fans will make it to at least one Rain match this year.

The Portland Rain is a women's soccer team that is a member of the Pacific Coast Soccer League. In 2000, the Rain also competed in the Pacific Coast Soccer League's women's division and were undefeated during the regular season, but lost in the 2000 McAdam Cup tournament. The Rain spent the 2001 season as provisional members of the USL's W-1 league.

 Portland is "Soccer City USA"

Portland was known as "Soccer City USA" during the heyday of the Timbers in the 1970's, and has maintained that reputation, even without a professional team calling the city home for several years. After a US National Team 1-0 victory over Costa Rica at Civic Stadium in 1997, the players described the fans as the best the US National Team had ever seen.

About the Portland Rain Site
This page is being maintained with the invaluable help of the Portland Rain players, coaches, and staff. The webmaster is also maintaining the Timber Rattlers fan site for the A-League's Portland Timbers. The webmaster spent 1999 and 2000 maintaining a website for the now-defunct Willamette Valley Firebirds, complete with match reports and game photos, and also made contributions to the Minnesota Thunder website (during the 1995-1996 seasons), Soccer Spot, and
